Ivy Tech Greencastle Nursing students participated in a variety of emergency drills Thursday, October 3 during the College’s Greencastle campus Disaster Day event.
A helicopter medical team, with Air Evac, flew in to campus grounds to participate in the exercise, along with Putnam County EMS officials. Area 30 students also took part.
Emergency crews with Air Evac and Putnam County EMS practice by lifting Ivy Tech Nursing student Jessica Duell into an Air Evac helicopter. The coordinated exercise offered Nursing students hands-on experiences in addressing situations they may encounter in their nursing or health sciences careers.
