The World Food Championships to crown World Food Champion at Final Table event hosted by Ivy Tech’s Culinary and Conference Center

The Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center, located on the downtown Indianapolis campus, will host the World Food Championships’ (WFC) Final Table event in May 2020. Chefs and cooks from all over the world participate in this event to showcase their skills and open doors to television and other media opportunities in the industry.

“We’re elated to have this opportunity for some of the world’s best culinarians to be here at Ivy Tech, using our kitchens and spaces,” said Chef Jeff Bricker, program chair of the Hospitality Administration program.

Throughout the year, WFC participants compete in competitions and winners of those events come to Final Table, which is the finale to crown the “World Food Champion.”

The event will be filmed for a reality show production that will air in August 2020.

Ivy Tech’s Hospitality Administration program is the only American Culinary Federation accredited culinary program in the state of Indiana. Students can pursue a variety of career pathways such as:

  • Baking and Pastry Arts
  • Beverage Management
  • Culinary Arts
  • Dietary Management 
  • Event Management
  • Hospitality Management
  • Hotel Management
  • Restaurant Management
