Exciting growth for the Advantage Shelby County Program

Advantage Shelby County is a partnership between Ivy Tech Community College, Shelby County and the City of Shelbyville to make a college degree more attainable for the county’s graduates through financial assistance, advising services, and community mentors, among other things. 

After much success, the program is expanding and is seeking a full-time program coordinator and student services professional

The program is also gearing up for its next cohort, hosting orientation sessions where new students are greeted by ones currently in the program!

Interested in hearing more about Advantage Shelby County? In March, the program will be featured on the Ivy Tech Podcast: Our College. Your Voices. The podcast episode will feature several exciting guests, including Shelbyville Mayor Tom DeBaun, Superintendent from Triton Central Schools Chris Hoke, Scott Shepard Industry Partner, Assistant Director of the program Ami Leigh Carter and an Ivy Tech student.
