About Ivy Tech Community College

Ivy Tech Community College is the largest singly accredited statewide community college system in the country. We are also the biggest postsecondary public institution in Indiana.

Ivy Tech has 43 locations throughout Indiana, including 19 full-service campuses and 24 satellite sites.

Ivy Tech serves as the state’s engine for workforce development, offering associate degrees, short-term certificate programs, industry-specific certifications, and training that aligns with our community’s needs.

Ivy Tech is Indiana’s most affordable college. We offer courses and associate degree programs that seamlessly transfer to other 4-year colleges and universities, both in-state and out-of-state, making for a more affordable route to continuing your education and obtaining a bachelor’s degree.

Since Ivy Tech’s inception in 1963, we have been committed to focusing on our students’ pursuit of higher education. We do this by keeping tuition affordable, our class sizes small and flexible, building a learning community within our courses, and providing one-on-one attention from our instructors.

Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis is the largest of the Ivy Tech campuses.

In 1966, 367 students were enrolled at Ivy Tech Indianapolis. Today, Ivy Tech Indianapolis has over 800 faculty and staff serving nearly 30,000 students yearly in Marion, Boone, and Hendricks Counties.

The Indianapolis service area has four locations in total, including two full-service campuses in downtown Indy and Lawrence, an Automotive Technology Center within the International Marketplace on the west side of Indianapolis, and MADE@Plainfield, a learning site with select programs and services.
