Ivy Tech Central Indiana welcomes new Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Belonging

On August 19, Ivy Tech Central Indiana welcomed our newest member of the Ivy Tech team: Jillian “Jay” Watts. 

Jay is the executive director of diversity, equity and belonging; a newly created position that aligns directly with the eighth goal of the College’s strategic plan.  

Jay joins Ivy Tech with more than seven years of experience in this field and eight years total in higher education. Before Ivy Tech, she has worked for institutions including Manchester University, Kenyon College, Kent State University and Eastern Kentucky University.  

In this role, Jay will provide vision, leadership, management and strategic planning for inclusion and equity initiatives.
