Ivy Tech highlights first generation students during Commit to Complete Week

During the last week of October, Ivy Tech celebrated Commit to Complete Week statewide, encouraging students to sign the #CommitToComplete pledge, stating they are on track to completing their credential.

In addition, the Central Indiana Ivy Tech held its First Gen Celebration Week to celebrate the accomplishments and hard work of those who represent the first in their family to earn a college degree.

The week kicked off with a grand opening of a First Gen lounge, followed by a panel of first generation students, faculty and staff.

Employees that were first generation students were encouraged to share their stories, which were displayed on campus TV screens.
