Hoosiers interested in a high-paying career in the IT industry can take advantage of Ivy Tech’s CompTIA A+ Certification free of charge, and for Mooresville residents, the program can be completed entirely at its Ivy Tech location (204 S. Southbridge Street).
The CompTIA A+ program provides students a hands-on program that includes boot camps and potential 8-week internships. Students are supported continuously by industry experts who provide one-on-one academic coaching and more.
Graduates have the opportunity to work in a variety of different roles, including Technical Support Specialist, Field Service Technician, IT Support Technician or Administrator, potentially starting at $20 – $24 an hour.

Hoosiers have access to this free opportunity thanks to a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.
