MADE@Plainfield project meets milestone

The Town of Plainfield’s Higher Education Project, MADE@Plainfield, is a collaborative partnership between the Town of Plainfield, Vincennes University, Plainfield Community School Corporation, Hendricks College Network, Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana Department of Homeland Security and WorkOne.

MADE@Plainfield’s mission is to create opportunities for all, which will include offering post-secondary education and training for adults of all ages for job and career advancement.

The design for the MADE@Plainfield building is completed and construction commenced in March of 2020, and has made considerable progress. Most recently the project hit a major milestone – getting the entire second floor elevated slab poured.

The building is 100,000 square feet in size and will have collaborative classrooms, labs, flexible training spaces, community rooms to support a variety of learning needs and community activities. The goal is for students to begin meeting at MADE@Plainfield for the Fall 2021 academic year.
